New Test Topic re Ticking The Alert Me Box

Ok, so the box isn't ticked when I post anew.

But when I reply the box is ticked.  I'll leave it that way for this post.

And sure enough, it is still ticked.  But I'm un-ticking it before I post this....

And yet it is ticked again.  That might tick people off.
